If we have the materials in stock, we can schedule installation as fast as the next day and with over $1,000,000 of in stock inventory next-day installations are common. If we need to order the carpet tile, we advise that it may take 7 to 10 business days for delivery and installation.
How long does the installation take?
99% of carpet tile jobs are completed within one day. In the case of extremely large jobs, the installation may run into a second day.
What do I need to do to be ready for my carpet tile installation?
All pictures/decor should be off of your walls and any shelves and/or flat surfaces should be clear. You’ll want to take anything breakable out of the room. A lot of people do not remove pictures on walls but if you choose to leave them we will not be responsible if they fall. Typically if they are properly hung it is not an issue.
Is professional installation recommended?
Yes, professional installation is recommended to ensure the best fit and appearance of your carpet tile, as well as to maximize its lifespan.
Can carpet tile be installed over existing flooring?
That depends on what type of flooring that is currently there and the condition of that flooring. We can’t install carpet tile over carpet but we can install carpet tile over vinyl or hard surface assuming that the flooring is in good shape and doesn’t require any major repairs. If this is something you’re considering, have your sales rep check if it’s possible.
How long before I can walk on the carpet tile?
Typically there is no waiting time before your carpet tile flooring can be walked on but for glued-down carpet tile light traffic is recommended for the first 24 hours.
Do I need to take up the old flooring?
We include removal of existing flooring and furniture in our quotes but if you choose to do this yourself, please have your space completely free of flooring and accessories and ready for flooring upon arrival of the installation team.
