How long before I can have my carpet installed?
If we have the materials in stock, we can schedule installation as fast as the next day and with over $1,000,000 of in stock inventory next-day installations are common. If we need to order the carpet, we advise that it may take 7 to 10 business days for delivery and installation.
How long does the installation take?
99% of carpet installations take 1 day or less, but for very large orders it may run into a second day.
What do I need to do to be ready for my carpet installation?
All pictures/decor should be off of your walls and any shelves and/or flat surfaces should be clear. You’ll want to take anything breakable out of the room. A lot of people do not remove pictures on walls but if you choose to leave them we will not be responsible if they fall. Typically if they are properly hung it is not an issue.
Is professional installation recommended?
Yes, professional installation is recommended to ensure the best fit and appearance of your carpet, as well as to maximize its lifespan.
Can carpet be installed over existing flooring?
That depends on what type of flooring that is currently there and the condition of that flooring. We can’t install carpet over carpet but we can install carpet over vinyl or hard surface assuming that the flooring is in good shape and doesn’t require any major repairs. If this is something you’re considering, have your sales rep check if it’s possible.
How long before I can walk on the carpet?
Typically there is no waiting time before the carpets can be walked on as most residential carpets are installed without the use of adhesives.
Do I need to empty the rooms and take up the old flooring?
We include removal of the old flooring and moving of furniture ion our quotes but if you choose to do those tasks yourself please have the areas completly empty and ready for flooring upon arrival of the installation team.
