How long before I can have my runner installed?
We have a warehouse full of carpet so if your carpet is in stock we can typically install your runner within 3 or 4 days. Keep in mind that stair carpet runners need to be sent out for binding, which accounts for a day to two. If we need to order your carpet in, our turn around time is approximately a week.
How long does the installation take?
We’ll have your stairs carpeted in one day.
What do I need to do to be ready for my stair runner installation?
All pictures/decor should be off your walls. Many people do not remove pictures on walls and if you choose to leave them we will not be responsible if they fall. Typically if they are properly hung it is not an issue.
Is professional installation recommended?
Yes, professional installation is recommended to ensure the best fit and appearance of your carpet, as well as to maximize its lifespan. Stairs are one of the most difficult spaces to carpet and are definitely not recommended as a DIY project.
Can carpet be installed over existing flooring?
Stair carpet runners need to be installed on bare floors. Runners are installed in the center of the staircase, exposing the sides.
How long before I can walk on my stairs?
As soon as the installation is done.
Do I need to empty the rooms and take up the old flooring?
We include removal of the old flooring in our quotes but if you choose to do this yourself, please have your staircase completely free of flooring and accessories and ready for flooring upon arrival of the installation team.
